Supporting Dementia at Home, a webinar presented by the Atlanta Regional Commission, is scheduled for 2:30 pm Thursday.

Dementia takes a profound toll — and not just on those living with dementia-related illnesses. Caregivers also pay a price. This ARC-Empowerline webinar will educate persons living with dementia, those who care for them, and healthcare professionals about the wider circle of impact, and how to support people living with dementia and their caregivers. Attendees will also walk away with detailed information about the types of dementia, their prevalence, and promising future treatments.

Speakers for the September 17 webinar include:

Kalisha Bonds, Woodruff School of Nursing, Emory University

Jim Lah, Department of Neurology, Emory University

Kim McRae, Culture Change Network of Georgia

Bonnie Roache, Caregiver
