Good morning, everyone!

My winner this week is a special book about libraries. It is called Goin’ someplace special by Patricia McKissack. This story takes place in Nashville in the 1950s, when the South was segregated. Segregated means that black people were kept separated from white people. The little girl is this book knows all about segregation, but she also knows that there is one place in town that welcomes all people no matter who they are. Can you guess what place that is? If you guessed the library then you are right! I hope you will read this book about the little girl’s “Someplace Special”.

Happy reading!

Your friend,
