Dewey, the Cobb County Library System’s mascot, loves to read! He reads picture books, easy reader books, chapter books, nonfiction books, everything! Would you like to know what Dewey’s reading? Then you’re in luck! Every Monday you’ll find out what Dewey’s reading!

So, what’s Dewey reading today…?

winter book

Dewey’s reading The Winter Book by Rotraut Susanne Berner! This book’s call number is J 808.8033 Winter. Librarians read the call number as J eight oh eight point eight oh three three (wow! that’s a mouthful!) This book is a collection of stories; that’s why the author’s (or in this case editor’s) last name is not included in the call number. The first word of the title is included instead. Ms. Berner did not write the stories in this book, she collected other people’s stories and put them in one book. That’s called an editor!
