A surprise guest threatens to disrupt Pig’s concert with her musical friends in What This Story Needs is a Bang and a Clang, part of Emma J. Virján’s “Pig in a Wig” series. Will they be able to pull it together for the show?

A review in Publishers Weekly called the children’s book “good, boisterous, musical fun!”

Reading picture books will bring your child one step closer to earning a 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten certificate.

Our next 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 11th from 2 pm to 3 pm at West Cobb Regional Library, 1750 Dennis Kemp Lane, Kennesaw 30152.

Cobb County Public Library System’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program encourages families to read lots of books and share millions of words with their children. Several studies have shown brain development is supported by early reading and stimulation, which promotes academic achievement.

The special graduation ceremony on November 11th will feature a presentation of certificates to celebrate the 1000-book milestone and an opportunity for kids to have their photos taken with Dewey, the library’s feline mascot.

This event at West Cobb Regional Library is free and open to the public. Bring the whole family!

1000 B4K ceremonies are held quarterly, so if you can’t make it to this one there will be another ceremony waiting for you in the future!
