Movie screenings in April at Cobb library locations include adventure, animation, Shakespeare and much more. All are free. A recent blog post highlighted spring break movies showing the week of April 8-12 at the West Cobb Regional and East Cobb libraries as children are off from area schools.

Shakespeare Film Series: Central Library is celebrating William Shakespeare’s birthday in April with film adaptations of some of his most famous plays. Shakespeare’s birthday is generally agreed to be April 23.

The Monday screenings start at 5:30 p.m.

April 8: Hamlet, part 1 of Kenneth Branagh’s presentation

April 15: Hamlet, part 2

April 22: Romeo and Juliet, Franco Zeffirelli’s production

April 29: Julius Caesar, starring Marlon Brando and James Mason.

Westerns Film Festival: The Westerns Film Series at East Cobb Library features classics of yesteryear. The Friday screenings start at high noon. Bring a snack or boxed lunch to enjoy during the film. For more information, please call (770) 509-2730. Here’s the April lineup:
