Update: All appointment spaces are full for the upcoming Vision To Learn visits in July at the North Cobb, South Cobb, Gritters and Sibley libraries.
The Vision To Learn mobile clinic will visit Cobb County Public Libraries on 13 dates during Summer Break 2020. Vision To Learn is a national non-profit providing free eye exams and free glasses for children in low-income areas.
Registration for the VTL visits in late June through July is required; space is limited. The Summer Break clinic visits will operate under health and safety protocols of VTL and Cobb County. For the registration forms for each date and location, visit www.cobbcat.org/tag/vision-to-learn/.
The upcoming VTL Cobb library visits, all from 9:30 am to 3 pm, include:
- Sibley Library, 1539 South Cobb Drive SE, Marietta 30060: Thursday, July 30, and Friday, July 31. Registration is full for the June 29 and June 30 clinics at Sibley.
- South Cobb Regional Library, 805 Clay Road, Mableton 30126: Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29. Registration is full for the July 1 and July 2 visits at South Cobb.
- North Cobb Regional Library, 3535 Old 41 Highway NW, Kennesaw 30144: Monday, July 13, Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15.
- Gritters Library, 880 Shaw Park Road, Marietta 30066: Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17.
Vision To Learn has staged mobile clinic visits at Cobb libraries since mid-2018. The VTL events are part of Cobb County Public Libraries’ collaboration with Learn4Life (L4L), the Metro Atlanta Regional Education Partnership, for improving “cradle to career” success. L4L is powered by Metro Atlanta Chamber, Atlanta Regional Commission, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and United Way of Greater Atlanta together with metro school districts, non-profits, businesses, and communities.
