History

East Marietta Branch Library was erected in 1966-67 on Lower Roswell Road with funds from a voter approved bond issue in 1965.  The bond issue allowed Cobb County Public Library to erect six new libraries.  The branch was recently renovated in 2009.

Join us for an action packed storytime where we share picture books and rhymes, music and movement to encourage your child’s love of reading. Ages: 18 to­ 36 months. No Registration is required. Themes: Shapes, Construction Zone, Barn Raising, Truck Stop, Build A Better Body, Home Sweet Home, Tool Time Please note: Baby and Toddler Storytime sessions will be cancelled June 20 and July 18, 2017 in case there are elections.

Independent readers practice reading a book of their choice to their librarian or teen reading partner for fifteen minutes. Must be an Independent Reader, Ages 5 and up. Fifteen minute time slots are available with phone registration by calling 770-­509-­2711 or come in person to the Youth Services Reference Desk to speak with a librarian. By appointment, but walk­-ins welcome based on librarian availability after 2:00 pm.
