Several programs will highlight Valentine’s Day themes at Cobb County Public Library System locations in February. Please note, for some programs a parent or caregiver is expected to stay with the young children and participate in the activities.

Feb Valentine's DayBabies Books & Songs: Hugs and Kisses: Monday, February 10, 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Acworth Library.

I <3 U @ Baby Story Time: Monday, February 10, 10:15 a.m. to 11:40 a.m., Switzer Library. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by singing, rhyming, bubbling, and clapping with stories and music.

Baby Bumblebees Hugs ‘n Kisses: Monday, February 10, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Powder Springs Library. This program for babies up to 18 months old and their caregivers combines music, rhythm, finger plays, movement, and stories.

Itsy Bitsy Babies -Big Hugs, Little Hugs, Monday, February 10, 11a.m., East Cobb Library. Itsy Bitsy Babies is activities for infants up to age 1 or pre-walkers. It lasts about 15 to 20 minutes.

Toddler Time: Sharing and Caring: Tuesday, February 11, 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., East Marietta Library. Designed for 18-36 month olds and their caregivers, Toddler Time is an action packed storytime.

Terrific Twos @ Mountain View — Hugs and Kisses, Tuesday, February 11, 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Mountain View Regional Library. Music, finger-plays, and the reading of one or two short books. Appropriate for children between the ages of 24 to 36 months.

Toddler Tadpoles say “Be My Valentine!”: Tuesday, February 11, 10:15 a.m., East Cobb Library. Stories, finger plays, action rhymes and music for ages 1-2.

I <3 U @ Preschool Time: Tuesday, February 11, 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Switzer Library. Preschoolers experience age appropriate stories, songs, rhymes, and special activities at this story time.  Geared towards 4 and 5 year olds.

It’s Valentine’s Day, Preschool Pollywogs: Tuesday, February 11, 11 a.m., East Cobb Library. Stories, songs, and a short film for ages 3-5.

Little Listeners @ Mountain View — Hugs and Kisses: Tuesday, February 11, 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Mountain View Regional Library. Music, finger-plays, and stories for preschoolers 3 to 5 years of age.

Pop-In Storytime for PreSchool – Sharing and Caring: Tuesday, February 11, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., East Marietta Library. Interactive story time for preschoolers (ages 3 to 5) that includes finger plays and dancing.

Toddler Tales: Sweethearts: Wednesday, February 12. 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Kemp Memorial Library. Toddler Tales is a story time that includes age appropriate stories, songs and activities.

Terrific Tots Hugs ‘n Kisses: Wednesday, February 12. 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Powder Springs Library. Babies graduate to this program at 18 months, designed specifically for toddlers up through age 3. The emphasis is on music, rhythm, movement, and the development of motor skills with stories, movies, and art projects.

Wee Readers: Be My Valentine: Wednesday, February 12. 11:15 a.m. to noon, Kemp Memorial Library.

It’s Valentine’s Day!: Wednesday, February 12, 3:30 p.m., East Cobb Library. Join us for stories celebrating Valentine’s Day with a short film and a fun heart hat craft.  All ages.

Rockin’ Readers Have a Heart!: Wednesday, February 12. 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., Powder Springs Library. Designed for children ages 4-10, Rockin’ Readers features music, art, reading, and play.

Filmfest – Sharing and Caring: Thursday, February 13, 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., East Marietta Library. Geared toward children ages 3 and up, Filmfest is films based on children’s picture books.

School Age Special: Books I Love!: Thursday, February 13, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., South Cobb Regional Library. Fall in love with the characters of a great book you can find in your library followed by a hands-on craft project. Ages: 5 and up.

Love Tiles: Friday, February 14, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., South Cobb Regional Library. Come enjoy a party of adult craft making. Create a beautiful coaster from colorful materials. Be very creative while having fun with other adults.

When is a title not just a title? When it is a poem!: Saturday, February 15, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Switzer Library. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by creating your own book spine poetry.  Award winning book spine poet Miss Beth will be helping us create our own poems in this unique and quirky genre. All ages.
