The Monday Evening Lecture Series at Switzer Library focusing on African American history through February starts February 2 at 7 p.m. with a screening of The Strange Demise of Jim Crow.

StrangeDemiseofJimCrowIn conjunction with the Auburn Avenue Research Library, the program will include a discussion of the documentary facilitated by Civil Rights activist Dr. Curtis Graves on how Houston was peacefully desegregated via behind-the-scenes negotiations and controversial news black-outs.

The program is free and open to the public. Switzer Library is located at 266 Roswell Street, Marietta.
