The library welcomes volunteers. Volunteers often “adopt” a range of shelves and keep it in exact order.  Other volunteers help with shelving, paperbacks, straightening, and periodicals.  An application is linked to this site.  Please note that all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and a background check is required.  Every attempt is made to match opportunities with volunteers.  However, library staff, instead of volunteers, must perform some jobs. Among these are storytimes and computer work involving patron records.

 Memorial and Honoring Donations

What better way to Remember or Honor someone than to donate a book or collection of books in their honor.  The best way to make this type of donation is with a check.  The library staff will assist in the selection and ordering of books or other library materials.  A dedication sticker is attached to the material and the material will be housed in the library location of your choice.   Materials donated in this way must meet library selection guidelines.  Individual donations may be made at any branch library.  For large donations arrangements may be made through the Administrative Office.
