Summer Adventure 2020 June 1 through August 1
Introducing Cobb County Public Library’s Summer Adventure! This year we’ve made it even easier and more exciting for people of all ages to participate in reading and learning all summer long.
Participating is easy. Track your reading and activities by creating a Beanstack account. Register each member of your family under one account! As you read and engage in activities, you are eligible to earn badges and prizes. Earn six badges to win a prize! You’ll also be entered into the grand prize drawing for a free box of books at our Fall 2020 Book Sale. Click here if you’d prefer a paper log instead. We’ll be posting fun ideas all summer long on our Facebook and Instagram @cobbcountylibrary so be sure to check us out and share your own Summer Adventure fun using #SummerInCobb

Please take a minute to complete this short survey for Georgia Public Library Service and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Thank you!

Summer Adventure is for everyone in Cobb County. Fun – Social – Entertaining – With positive outcomes for all!

The Library and Summer Adventure support family bonding time, community engagement, and shared learning experiences. We’ve included activities designed to encourage participation by the whole family because learning doesn’t stop when you leave school.

  • Sign up your youngest kiddos to begin building language and reading skills. Reading to young children, even infants, increases word recognition and vocabulary!
  • Students are at risk of losing 2-3 months of reading and math skills over the summer. Keep students learning and engaged by encouraging them to complete the Summer Adventure Challenge!
  • Make some time for yourself to experience the joys of reading – it’s a great way to relieve stress and strengthen your brain!
Even more resources are available to Cobb County students through the Department of Library Media Education (LME). Access those resources here!

A big thank you to Georgia Public Library Service and Cobb Library Foundation for supporting Summer Adventure!
