Get ready! Summer Reading officially starts May 15.

YOUNG CHILDREN

Birth – Pre-K

The Summer Reading Program encourages participants of all ages to keep reading and learning through the summer. To learn how to participate, select the appropriate age group above.

Did you know, by 3 years of age, there is a 30 million word gap between children from the wealthiest and poorest families? Research shows that reading to infants and young children every day increases word recognition and vocabulary and helps shrink the ‘word gap’. Reading to children is also the best way to set them on the path to independent reading.

We’ve partnered with Cobb County School District, Marietta City Schools, Smyrna Public Library, and Scholastic. Join us this summer and help us Build a Better World!
