On your mark, get set, READ! Don your favorite sports regalia at the Library’s Annual Summer Celebration.
Jumpstart Summer Reading with the Cobb County Public Library System.
Enjoy an evening of family fun with a live puppet show, face painting, music, dancing, and more!

 

When does it happen?

Summer Reading Program (SRP) runs from Thursday, May 26 until Friday, July 22nd, 2016.
The summer reading kickoff party is on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at the Switzer Library in Marietta. 
Each regional library will have a wrap-up party on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016.
More Information for the Switzer/Central, Mountain View, West Cobb, and South Cobb wrap-up parties will be coming soon.
 

What is it?

This Summer it’s “On your mark, get set, READ!” Summer Reading Program 2016 is for everyone – it has 3 parts:
Summer! It happens every Summer. This Summer it starts on Thursday, May 26, 2016 and goes until Friday, July, 22nd, 2016.
Reading! Reading is fundamental for this event. Now matter how you participate reading is involved!
Program! There are lots of awesome events that are happening, check our Summer Event Calendar for more information.
 

How do I participate?

Visit your favorite library! | Read lots of great books! | Win fabulous prizes!
 

Why Participate?

SRP is for all of Cobb County. Fun. Social. Entertaining. Positive outcomes for everyone.
The Early Literacy Program is about young children building reading and language skills.
The Children’s Program engages kids in language skills development for success.
The Teen Program motivates teens to read and talk literature.
The Adult Program is about experiencing the joy of reading.
