High School
(9th Grade – 12th Grade)

Reading is one of the simplest things you can do to keep your mind active. Research shows that students who stop reading over the summer may fall behind two months each school year. And teens who participate in Summer Reading tend to perform better academically and achieve greater academic gains than those who don’t.

The Summer Reading Program encourages participants of all ages to keep reading and learning through the summer. Our libraries are offering a wide variety of learning and entertainment opportunities this summer. Check out our calendar to see what amazing programs are happening near you!
