The Census Bureau recently announced good news about educational attainment in the United States: “For the first time in U.S. history, 90 percent of the population age 25 and older have completed high school.”

With the majority of job postings in metro Atlanta reportedly calling for a bachelor’s degree at a minimum, it is critical for job-seekers to close the educational gap further, according to a recent post by the Atlanta Regional Commission.

Starting Wednesday, January 10th:

The Cobb/Paulding Adult Education Center (AEC) is offering GED preparation classes at South Cobb Regional Library. Students receive instruction in reading, math, and language. The classes are held in the George “Woody” Thompson meeting room from 5 to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, whenever the AEC is open.
