Growing and Cooking Herbs in Georgia, a program by the Family and Consumer Science Department of the Cobb County Cooperative Extension, will be presented at Kennesaw Library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Topics covered in the program include growing your own herbs, cooking with herbs, and steps for harvesting, drying and storing herbs. Meeting the Challenge of Gardening in the Shade is the April program of the Gardeners’ Night Out series presented by the Master Gardener Volunteers of Cobb County from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at South Cobb Regional Library. Master Gardener Cathy Lacy will give tips and tricks on how to bring color and texture to the shady areas in your garden.
