DearLife Several books by the 2013 winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Canadian writer Alice Munro, are available in the Cobb County Public Library System’s Adult Collection.

In announcing the award on October 10, the Swedish Academy called Munro a “master of the contemporary short story.” The New York Times said Munro is a writer “whose visceral work explores the tangled relationships between men and women, small-town existence and the fallibility of memory.”

With demand for Munro’s works spiking after the Nobel Prize announcement, CCPLS patrons can place reserves for Munro items online or at any CCPLS library branch for early positions on waiting lists. Looking for past honorees? Try browsing the Swedish Academy’s list of the 110 Nobel laureates.
