You’re invited to make Cobb libraries’ programs scheduled for Saturday, February 1 part of your efforts to return to normal. Cobb County is thawing out from the winter storm that struck this week and Cobb County Public Library System is back to regular operating hours for all 16 locations.

FebruaryThe Saturday lineup includes:

  • Genealogy and You at Kemp Memorial Library on Saturday at 1:30 pm. to 3 p.m. Learn about the Georgia Room, Cobb libraries’ historical and genealogical collection, and databases for researching family research during the free workshop.
  • The Teen Anime & Cinema Club meets at East Cobb Library on Saturday at 2 p.m. The club meets the first Saturday of each month for a different viewing experience of anime, horror and sci-fi. Snacks provided. For grades 6 and up. Information: (770) 509-2730.
  • Join families from around the neighborhood at Switzer Library for the kick-off to the 3 Bears Family Reading Club on Saturday, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. We’ll share ideas for family reading for all ages!  We’ll have a reading log for each family and see everyone back on Saturday, March 1 for an awards ceremony with cocoa and cookies.
