What makes things float? Simply Science – Splashdown! at Mountain View Regional Library will be one hour for testing what floats and what doesn’t on Thursday, November 16th from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm.

Sail with us and learn all about buoyancy and density with homemade boats. We will be suggesting several  hypotheses on what will sink and what will float and then we’ll test those theories and see how much weight the boat can hold before it sinks! We will also be discussing how people stay afloat in water and learn about water safety.

This nautical event is best suited for kids in grades K – 2. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate as well.

Mountain View Regional Library is located at 3320 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta 30066. (770) 509-2725.
