February 19, 2015 (MARIETTA , GA) — The Cobb County Public Library System’s next semi-annual book sale will be held Friday and Saturday, March 13-14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Jim R. Miller Park at 2245 Callaway Road in Marietta.
One of North Georgia’s largest library book sales, the sale includes donated novels, non-fiction books, children’s books, DVD movies, home and garden books, travel books, and much more. Prices range from 10 cents to $4. All profits from the sale go directly to buying more items for the 16 Cobb libraries and the library’s special facility operated in partnership with the Cobb County Therapeutic Program at the Windy Hill Community Center.
The Library System’s March book sale attracts thousands of people and is one of two large semi-annual sales held yearly. More than a fundraiser, the book sale is a social event for book-lovers from throughout the region.
The library is seeking book sale volunteers. For information on volunteer opportunities and the sale, please contact Jill Tempest at (770) 528-2330 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Patty Latch at (770) 528-2345 or email@example.com.
