On Your Mark, Get Set, Pose: Yoga for Kids is a recurring event beginning Thursday, June 2 at South Cobb Regional Library from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Come relax, stretch, focus, and exercise with us on the first Thursday of every month this summer. Intended for ages 3-5. (678) 398-5828.
Fitness Fun with “Rocky the Rhino” on Wednesday, June 8 at East Cobb Library from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm. Families with children will learn exciting, fun ways to stay fit with PRO Martial Arts mascot Rocky the Rhino, who will take them through his favorite drills and games. The Science of Muscle Movement on Tuesday, June 14 at Vinings Library from 2 pm to 3 pm. Biologist and Fernbank Science Center Instructor Melanie Heckman will be here to teach school age children the science behind a healthy body. Learn how our muscles and bones work together to help us run, jump and play. Registration is required. Please call (770) 801-5308 starting May 31st to register.
Recess Games with Cobb Wellness Center on Tuesday, June 14 at Switzer Library from 3 pm to 4 pm. Red Rover, Red Rover, bring Cobb Wellness right over. Join Cobb Wellness Center’s Keith Mazonkey for some classic recess games and fitness activities. This recurring event will also be held on June 17, July 12, and July 14 from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Join the Green Gym on Tuesday, June 21 at East Marietta Library from 3 pm to 5 pm. Participate in fun, hands-on craft activities to learn how to make upcycled exercise equipment out of recycled materials and common household items. Please bring ten dry, clean, recycled plastic bags for each participant. Ages: 6 years to 12 years and their adult caregivers. Registration strongly encouraged.
