Noisy Night, a new picture book written by Mac Barnett and illustrated by Brian Biggs, tells the story of the occupants in a multi-level apartment building and all the activities their neighbors can hear them do.

One by one each neighbor tries to figure out what the noises above them are. The reader follows the vertically drawn images to each floor until the culprit of the noise is revealed.

The pictures tell tales of singers, dancers, and other sources making a loud racket. As the narrator and readers climb the floors, they are introduced to new neighbors with unique talents until they reach the very top floor.

Reading fun books like this picture book will bring your child one step closer to reaching the 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten milestone. For information on the library’s early literacy program inspiring kids to reach up high, visit www.cobbcat.org/1000b4k or any Cobb County Public Library.
