Upcoming holiday observances

The Cobb County Public Library System will be closed
Saturday, December 24 through Tuesday, December 27.

The system will reopen for regular library hours on Wednesday, December 28.

We will also be closed on Monday, January 2, 2012.

Learn a new language

December is "Learn a Foreign Language Month!" This is a great time to discover the many language learning tools available at the library for free.

Meet author Britt Menzies!

On Saturday, December 10, local author Britt Menzies will share her StinkyKids stories! Join us at the East Cobb Library for the following programs:

  • StinkyKids Story Time: 11 am. Bring the whole family for a fun story time with the StinKers!
  • Creative Writing Workshop: 12:30 pm. Author Britt Menzies will share tips and tools for helping children express themselves through writing. Geared for school-age children and up.

Library launches e-government tool

The Cobb County Public Library System has launched a new tool to help the public find government resources online: its e-gov webpage, available at http://www.cobbcat.org/egov. This webpage lists local, state, and federal government resources, including information on financial assistance and benefits; legal, health, and education information; and answers to frequently asked questions.
