New picture books full of questions for young new readers are available in the Cobb County library catalog. All fit on any 1,000 Books B4 Kindergarten list.

The new books – with few or no words – include:

WhereIsPimWhere is Pim? by Lena and Olof Landström, the U.S. edition of Var är Pim published in Sweden in 2013. Pom and Pim are playing, but Pim disappears. For Pom and the dog, the search is on.

Where’s Walrus? And Penguin? by Stephen Savage, the sequel to Where’s Walrus?. Wordless books that lead to discussions about what is really going on here.

Whose Shoe? by Eve Bunting is about a mouse with gumption searching for the owner of a single shoe.

Where’s the Pair? by Britta Teckentrup is a picture book inviting you to find a variety of matching pairs of animals in busy settings. It’s the follow-up to Odd One Out: a Spotting Book.

You can reserve the new arrivals at or by contacting any Cobb County library location. For information on the 1,000 Books B4 Kindergarten early literacy initiative, visit
