From Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre Programs – Georgia:
Mumferd got brand new swimming goggles from his cousin Mumferdita and wants to go to the pool by himself so he can test them out. He learns different ways to stay safe in the water, but finds out that the safest way is to go swimming with an adult. The workshop uses role play and pictures to encourage safe behavior around water.
Mumferd is a big kid now, and doesn’t think he needs Grandma Mumfreda’s help in the store or crossing the street. He learns that even “big kids” need to follow safety rules. The workshop teaches children safety rules if they are separated from an adult, and allows the children to practice crossing the street from the safety of the classroom.
Mumferd wants to have a playdate and has everything he thinks he needs: the tv remote, popcorn, his favorite comfy pillow. But run and play outside–estas loco?!? Mumferd discovers that physical activity can be fun, keeps him strong and healthy and is a good way to relax while making friends. Muy divertido!
