Fall Break Fun at Switzer Library will feature different activities all week long from noon – 1 pm, followed by a movie. The schedule includes: Monday: Put on a Puppet Show. Movie Monday at Windy Hill Library on September 24th from 11 am – 1 pm will feature Wonder (PG), an inspiring tale based on the bestseller that tells the story of a young boy with facial differences entering a mainstream fifth grade class for the first time. Build Your Own Video Game! at Kennesaw Library on Monday from 1 pm – 2:30 pm. This program for kids ages 8 – 11 will teach kids how to use Bloxels, a 13-bit game builder that can create old-school video games. Space is limited and registration is required, so call to sign up! (770) 528-2529.

Afternoon Movie at South Cobb Regional Library on Tuesday from 2 pm – 4 pm featuring A Wrinkle in Time (PG), a movie about a young girl who meets three supernatural beings and is transported through a new universe to rescue her father who is being held captive by an evil force. Gritters STEAM Team at Gritters Library on Tuesday from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm. All budding scientists, engineers, artists and mathematicians get to explore a different letter in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) every month. Teens ages 14-18 will get the chance to learn the basics of the art of acting for film, TV, and commercials during this workshop. Full STEAM Ahead at South Cobb Regional Library on Wednesday from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm. Explore a different letter in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) with hands-on activities. This session will cover Art as children learn about pointillism, a style of painting or drawing using lots of dots, and create a piece of art with the technique. Registration is required. Georgia State University’s Bio-Bus at South Cobb Regional Library on Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm. GSU’s Bio-Bus is a science field trip that comes to you that provides hands-on activities and demonstrations of many different scientific subjects. The subject of the day is “DNA is for Families”.
