Cobb County Public Library System invites children and families to Dr. Seuss-themed programs scheduled for late February and early March. The master storyteller’s 110th birthday is March 2.

Below is a listing of Dr. Seuss events on the CCPLS calendar. Please note that for several of the programs, parents or caregivers are expected to participate in the activities:

  • Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!: Monday, March 3, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., West Cobb Regional Library. Celebrate with stories, a short film, craft and cupcakes. Ages 5 and up.
  • Seussical Celebrations @ Preschool Time: Tuesday, March 4, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Switzer Library. Preschoolers experience stories, songs, rhymes and special activities. Geared towards 4 and 5 year olds.
  • Terrific Tots Green Eggs and Ham: Wednesday, March 5, 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Powder Springs Library. This program for toddlers through age 3features stories, movies and art projects.
  • Wee Ones @ Mountain View – Dr. Seuss: Wednesday, March 5, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mountain View Regional Library. Music, finger-plays and reading appropriate for children between the ages of 15 months and 2 years.
  • Dr. Seuss on the Loose: Wednesday, March 5, 3:30 p.m., East Cobb Library. Enjoy stories, films and a fun craft. All ages.
