FidosMindCobb County Animal Control will present What goes on Inside Fido’s Mind? Spark a Reaction! at Switzer Library on Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Does your dog remember when you praise her for doing something good? Does he understand what you are saying to him? Why does she get excited when you tell her it’s time to go for a car ride?  The July 16 program is part of the library’s Teen Summer Reading Program. ‘Safety Around Dogs’ with Julena Hall and Chloe the Poodle, a children’s program at Gritters Library on Wednesday, July 23, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Learn how to approach a dog, how to care for pets, and all about therapy dogs. Information: (770) 528-2524.

Kemp’s Thursday Special Programs: Pet Safety, a children’s story time program at Kemp Memorial Library is on Thursday, July 24, 11 a.m. to noon. Theresa Kent and her dog Boomer will host the CAREing PAWS program on pet safety. Information: (770) 528-2527.
