Gritters Drama Club has been hard at work for weeks on a special production for the public. They will be putting on the performance of a lifetime at Mountain View Regional Library on Saturday, November 18 at 3:30 pm.

Drama Club was formed by Library Technician and drama enthusiast Olivia McCurley and students who participated in the “Build a Better Scene” summer workshop. Fourth and fifth grade students who joined the club met up several weeks this fall to learn about the art of developing characters, how to put a good plot together and the finer points of acting.

The play, which was written and produced by the club, is about a shy young girl who spends her recess using her imagination to tell epic stories to her favorite stuffed animal instead of hanging out with the other kids on the playground. But as the girl navigates her adventures on her own she discovers that perhaps making friends isn’t as hard as she initially thought.

If you’re looking for an entertaining way to spend your Saturday afternoon we invite you to come out to Mountain View Regional Library to see the story that Gritters Drama Club has put together!
