The Cobb County Public Library System is hosting a free Job Fair on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Switzer Library, 266 Roswell Street in downtown Marietta.
Participants signed up for the Job Fair include Cobb County Government, City of Marietta, Georgia Department of Labor, Build Cobb Partnership, the FBI, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, The Home Depot, Walmart, Kroger, AFLAC, Emory University, Amerigroup Community Care, Lyft, Belhaven University/Atlanta, Devereux Health Care, Alorica, Jobs Corps, CarMax Auto Finance, Lowe’s, Marshall’s, Caraustar, Kelly Services, LGS Staffing, MDF Executive Marketing, Randstad, McDonald’s, Surge Staffing, Hire Dynamics, and the Health and Style Institute. The participants list may change.
The Job Fair event is open to the public. Reservations are not required.
Pat Ball, manager of the Stratton Library, is the organizer for the Job Fair. The Job Fair and related workforce development programs at the Stratton Library branch are about meeting a critical community need, she said.
“Many patrons come to us for help with seeking employment and other job related activities,” Ball said. “This is to help those who are still seeking employment to network and gain knowledge of various companies within the metro Atlanta area who are seeking eligible candidates for positions.”
