Wednesday is the last day to order for the 2015 Cobb County 4-H Plant Sale.
Plant selections offered in the fundraiser include varieties of blackberry, blueberry, azalea, crepe myrtle, hosta, ferns, muscadine, forsythia and more. As the March 11 deadline approaches, a few of the plant selections initially listed for the sale are sold out.
To get a copy of the updated order form and flyer showing the plant selections, visit www.cobbextension.com. Plants must be picked up between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 at Jim Miller Park in Marietta. March 21 is the first Saturday of spring 2015.
Get Expert Advice: Cobb Extension Horticulture Agent Neil Tarver will present the Growing and Caring for Fruit Plants workshop on Monday, March 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cobb Water System Training Lab, 662 South Cobb Drive, Marietta. Getting Ready for the Spring Vegetable Garden, a free workshop in the Gardeners’ Night Out series presented by Master Gardener of Volunteers at Cobb libraries, is scheduled for Tuesday evening at Mountain View Regional Library, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cobb Extension staff member and Master Gardener Amy Whitney will lead the March 10 program.
