Food, cooking and nutrition are hot topics this summer at the Cobb County Public Library System. The fun and educational lineup of upcoming programs at Cobb libraries include:
- Library Adventures: What’s in that Lunch, Anyway?!? at West Cobb Regional Library on Wednesday, June 25 at 3:30 p.m. Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre Programs-Georgia presents the highly interactive program. - Kitchen Science at Powder Springs Library on Wednesday, June 25 at 3:30 p.m. Join us for some hands on kitchen science experiments. Open to kids ages 5 to 12. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver. Information: (770) 439-3600.
- Cooking Program for Parents and Kids at South Cobb Regional Library on Thursday, June 26, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The program presented by Cobb Extension will demonstrate how parents and children can learn how to prepare simple meals in minutes and on a budget. Information: (678) 398-5828.
- Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP): Family Cooking Meals Together begins at South Cobb Regional Library on Tuesday, July 1 at 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The six-week program for families is designed to provide timely information on preparing healthy and delicious meals on a limited budget and in minutes.
