Ball is illustrator Mary Sullivan’s Geisel Award–winning debut picture book. Who will play ball with dog? While he waits for a playmate, a dog imagines all of the amazing adventures he could have with his ball.

On the Ball, by Brian Pinkney, is the story of Owen, who discovers that he has more soccer skills than he thought when he has to retrieve a soccer ball that got away.

A Big Guy Took My Ball! by Mo Willems, is part of the popular Elephant and Piggie book series. In this installment, Piggie is upset because a whale took the ball she found, but Gerald has an idea that just might make everyone happy.

You can reserve these books at www.cobbcat.org or by contacting any Cobb County library location. For information on the 1,000 Books B4 Kindergarten early literacy initiative, visit www.cobbcat.org/1000b4k.
