The library has partnered with ArtsBridge Foundation and the Cobb Energy Centre in support of early literacy.  We are giving away tickets to the Thursday, December 1st at 6:30 pm music and tap presentation “Rhythmic Circus: Red and Green”. Patrons will be able to enter into a drawing for 4 tickets at any library location.  This is a drawing intended for people aged 0-7 and their families.  Entries accepted Tuesday, November 1st through Monday, November 21st.

There are three ways to go big for early literacy and win tickets.  Stop by any library location starting on Tuesday, November 1st and:

  1. Register for 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten
  2. Reach any 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten milestone
  3. Check out a book and promise to read it

It’s that easy!

Enter by Monday, November 21st at any of the 16 Cobb County Public Library System locations

Each of the 16 winners will be notified on Tuesday, November 22nd.

FAQ

  • How many times can I enter?
    Each person aged birth to 7 can receive up to 3 total entries. You would receive one entry for each of the three methods listed above. For example, if you check out two books and promise to read them, you would receive one entry.  If you reach two 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten milestones, you would receive only one entry.
  • How many winners will there be?
    There will be 16 winners total, each will receive 4 tickets.
  • When can I enter?
    Entries will be accepted from Tuesday, November 1st until Monday, November 21st.
  • What if I’ve already registered for 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten?
    Let staff know that you’ve already registered and you will be entered.

There are three ways to go big for early literacy and win tickets.  Stop by any library location starting on Tuesday, March 1st and:

  1. Register for 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten
  2. Reach any 1000 Books B4 Kindergarten milestone
  3. Check out a book and promise to read it

It’s that easy!

Each of the 16 winners will be notified on Wednesday, March 23rd.

All other activities around the go BIG program are still on, only the meet and greets have been canceled.

Daniel will be visiting two libraries on Saturday, March 5th.

11:45am at the Mountain View Regional Library.

2:00pm at the South Cobb Regional Library.

The events will last for approximately 30 minutes and will give attendees an opportunity to take their picture with Daniel Tiger, and the Cobb County Public Library Mascot, Dewey the Cat.

Events:

Clifford did a meet and greet on Saturday, November 7th, 2015.

11:45am at the Mountain View Library and 2:00pm at the Switzer Library.

The events lasted for approximately 30 minutes and gave winners (and attendees) an opportunity to take their picture with Clifford, and the Cobb County Public Library Mascot Dewey the Cat.  Approximately 170 people attended the meet and greets.
