Cobb County Public Libraries offer a variety of free tutoring sessions and computer classes to help adults with basic computer literacy such as typical computer use, e-mail, and introductions to the free databases that we offer.

Tech Tutoring Tuesdays at West Cobb Regional Library is offered every Tuesday in May from 2 pm – 4 pm. Call to schedule your 30 minute appointment for one-on-one training on how to use our library databases, how to download e-books and more. (770) 528-4699.

Computer Basics at South Cobb Regional Library on Tuesday, May 7 from 3 pm – 4:30 pm. This free class teaches beginners about the basic parts of a computer and demonstrates how to best utilize the technology it provides. Space is limited. Call to reserve your spot. (678) 398-5828.

Get to know Reference USA at West Cobb Regional Library on Saturday, May 11 from 2 pm – 3 pm. Reference USA is an online database that provides business and consumer data. This program will teach patrons how to use the database. 770-528-4699.

Intro to Adobe Illustrator 3 at Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center on Saturday, May 11 from 2 pm – 4 pm. In this class taught by Shannel Wheeler of Awesome Design Academy we’ll learn layout principles, create a business card and create a simple flyer. Teens and adults welcome. Registration is required. Social Media Basics at South Cobb Regional Library on Thursday, May 16 from 3 pm – 4:30 pm. Learn about social media platforms and how to use them. No registration is required, but space is limited. Classes are held the third Thursday of the month in February, May, August and November. (678) 398-5828.

Get to Know Ancestry.com at West Cobb Regional Library on Wednesday, May 22 from 2 pm – 3 pm. This program teaches patrons how to use the world’s largest collection of online records to trace your family tree. (770) 528-4699.

Goodwill is offering the Basic Computer Training Certification Course at Stratton Library on Mondays at 10 am – 11:30 am from May 20th to June 24th, except for the Memorial Day on May 27. Earn your certificate with training in computer basics, using Google applications, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Internet skills.
