Children are invited to enter Lewis A. Ray Library’s Bookmark Contest, which runs Thursday, May 26 through Saturday, July 16. Entries will be accepted only at the Lewis A. Ray branch. Just drop by for a Bookmark Contest entry form. One winning design from three different age groups will be chosen (Pre-K and K, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6). Basket Weaving 101 at Mountain View Regional Library is a two-part class held on June 13 and June 20 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Sandy Quackenbush, an instructor and member of the Greater Atlanta Basket Guild, will teach you how to make beautiful baskets similar to ones you’ve seen at craft fairs. All supplies and tools will be provided to make a small bread basket. Space is limited to 10 participants who are willing to commit to this two-part class.
