Computer Basics

This class is a beginner course for the computer novice. This class gives students basic computer terminology, a basic understanding of the parts of a computer, and information about using the keyboard and mouse to perform tasks. Yoga has been around for thousands of years and is a great way to improve your overall health. Think you can’t do yoga because you can’t sit on the floor? If you have any mobility issues you can still enjoy the benefits of yoga while sitting on a chair. Chair yoga helps improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Join us as Switzer Library welcomes retired Judge Jim Morris to discuss the 1931 Marietta murder of Doyle Butler, Cobb's first Ford dealer and then president of the Rotary Club, by Georges Goumas, Marietta merchant and Cobb's most decorated hero of WWI.  This case illustrates issues of immigration, the ascendance of the KKK, PTSD (then known as shell shock), Cobb's efforts to recover from the image left by the 1915 Leo Frank lynching, and other, perhaps timely, subjects.
