The program lasts for 20 minutes and may include short stories, bounces, rhymes, finger plays, music, shaker eggs, dancing, parachute play, and scarves. Activities promote literacy and motor skills through movement, rhyme, song, and dance. It is never too early to encourage the love of books, literacy, and social skills at storytime.
