This two week workshop is a safe space for young writers to express themselves respectfully in both written and spoken form. During the workshop teens will receive coaching and guidance to prepare and perform an original essay or poem. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the final showcase on Wednesday, July 24th at 7:00 pm in the Sewell Mill Library Black Box Theater.

Presenter Bio: Bernette Sherman is a best-selling Amazon author and empowerment speaker. She uses creative expression and core mindset principles to help women, girls and aspiring authors uncover and use their power to embrace possibility. She is Mrs. Cobb County 2019, a former Miss Black Georgia and Miss Black International, and a vocalist She draws on all of her experiences to inspire and motivate in an engaging way.
