TECH (Teens Exploring Careers Hands-On)

South Cobb Regional Library

Saturday, October 19, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Do you know what you want to do after high school? Do you even know where to start?

Meet college students and staff, professionals from a variety of fields, and everyone in between while you discover the different paths available to you after high school. Ask questions and gain information to help you navigate your journey to the future!

Confirmed guests include:

• Amy Kiley, Senior Producer at GPB (Georgia Public Broadcasting)
• Sgt. Antony Carlisle, Military National Guard
• Eriq Colón, Admissions Counselor with Georgia Highlands College
• Jacob Johnson, Youth Program Service Manager with Worksource Georgia
• Jennifer Cooper, PhD in Genetics at Kennesaw State University
• Juanita Cato, Owner of Code Ninjas Smyrna
• Lee Stewart, NASA Solar System Ambassador
• Tamara Jones, Manager of Solution Engineering at Intellum
• Women in Technology
• and more!

Please note: This is not a college, career, or job fair. Our guests are attending in order to give you information about what they do and answer any questions you may have about how they got where they are. We aim to show you there’s no one-size-fits-all path to take after high school. This event is informal, and you will be able to meet our guests at your own pace (it’ll be set up like a science fair). There will be snacks, and swag is available to the first 100 teens!
