Celebrate Black History Month at Kemp Memorial Library on February 8th with a screening of the film Talking Black in America–the first ever feature length film on African American speech and its powerful role in African American culture. The screening is free and open to the public and a discussion of the film will follow led by Melissa Gomes, who received her M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Georgia. Film is 1 hour.
