Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center

Wednesday, May 15 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

It’s a book club…with a twist! Join us every month to continue the age-old debate: which was better, the original or the adaptation? Read the short story, watch the film with us, and then participate in an open discussion. Link to the story is provided below.

STORY: “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick

SCREEN: Len Wiseman’s Total Recall (2012)

In need of a vacation from his ordinary life, factory worker Douglas Quaid visits Rekall, a company that can turn dreams into real memories. Thinking that memories of life as a superspy are just the ticket, Quaid undergoes the procedure – but it goes horribly wrong. Suddenly, Quaid is a hunted man. He teams up with a rebel fighter on a search to find the head of the underground resistance and take down the leader of the free world.

Rated PG-13. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The screening will be held in the Black Box Theater. No food or drink are allowed.
