Social Justice Book Discussion [Virtual Program]
Wednesday, July 15 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every month that begins at 6:30 pm on day Third of the month, repeating until Saturday, September 19, 2020
The Social Justice Book Discussion meets virtually on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM. A social justice book club includes books to get you thinking and talking about inequality and injustice in the U.S. and around the world. We read and discuss fiction and nonfiction books about race, gender, immigration, poverty and criminal justice issues. Copies of the month’s book will be available at the South Cobb Regional Library. Please call 678-398-5831 for more information. The discussion will take place via Google Meet.
On July 15 we will be discussing Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson. Future books for discussion will include The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates and How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi.
