Snakes of Georgia

Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center

Tuesday, February 25 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Snakes are one group of wild animals that cause many problems for people just by their presence. Snakes make people very uncomfortable, especially when they are surprised by the sudden appearance of a snake in the yard or even in the home. It is not necessary to kill every snake that is seen as most of the species of snakes in Georgia are non-poisonous and are, in fact, extremely beneficial due to the large number of rodents that many eat.

Join Daniel Price of the Cobb County UGA Extension Service for a presentation about the habits and characteristics of these fascinating reptiles, as well as how to identify the types of snakes that are native to Cobb County.

This program is directed toward adults, but all ages are welcome.
