Join us for Poets Read, a gathering of poets and poetry lovers. Our guest poets will share their poems by reading them aloud and the inspiration behind their works.

Open Mic – 6:30 – 7:00

Stephanie Kartalopoulos’s first poetry collection, AMULET, was published in May, 2018. Her poems have appeared and are forthcoming from journals that include Comstock Review, Spoon River Poetry Review, 32 Poems, Laurel Review, phoebe and Columbia Poetry Review. Stephanie teaches literature and writing at Kennesaw State University.

Kathy Ellis is an ESL and Cross-Cultural Communication Trainer. She has published poetry in Peninsula Poets, Reach of a Song, Ohio Poetry Day Assoc., Setu International Journal and Oracle Magazine. Awards include 1st place in Ohio’s Welcome Aboard and Honorable Mention in Special category; 3rd place in Georgia Poetry Society Educators Award, and Poet Laureate for the Spiritual Living Center in Atlanta. She self-published her first book of poems in 2017 and is presently working on book two.

Steven Owen Shields is an Atlanta-area poet and author of Creation Story and Daimonion Sonata.  He is a former all-night FM disc jockey and present-day college professor and wedding officiant.
