Tina Mozelle Braziel won the 2017 Philip Prize for Poetry for her book Known by Salt. Her chapbook is Rooted by Thirst. She has been awarded an Alabama State Council on the Arts fellowship and an artist residency at Hot Springs National Park.
Ashley Jones is the author of Magic City Gospel (2017) and dark / / thing (2019). Among her awards are the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers Award, a Literature Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, and the Lucille Clifton Legacy Award. She teaches at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and she is the founding director of the Magic City Poetry Festival in Birmingham, AL.
Christine Swint’s first poetry collection is Swimming This (2015). She holds degrees in English and Spanish from the University of Georgia, a master’s in Spanish from Middlebury College, and an M.F.A. in creative writing from Georgia State University. A former high school Spanish instructor, she currently teaches English part time and writes about pilgrimage and poetry at Balanced on the Edge, https://balancedonedge.blog.
