Men’s Book Club

East Cobb Library

Saturday, November 9 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

| Free

This book club reads and discusses multiple genres: horror, military, sci-fi, etc. Although called the Men’s Book Club, women are certainly welcome. On November 9, we will be reading and discussing “Three Days in January: Dwight Eisenhower’s final mission” by Bret Baier.  Bret Baier, the Chief Political Anchor for Fox News Channel, illuminates the underappreciated presidency of Dwight Eisenhower by taking readers into Ike’s last days in power as he has three days to secure the nation’s future before his young successor, John F. Kennedy, takes power–a final mission by the legendary leader who planned D-Day and guided America through the darkening Cold War.

Saturday, September 14 – “Fly Girls: how five daring women defied all odds and made aviation history” by Keith O’Brien  (Biography)

Saturday, October 12 – “The Cuckoo’s Calling” by Robert Galbraith (Detective Fiction)

Saturday, November 9 – “Three Days in January: Dwight Eisenhower’s final mission” by Bret Baier (Biography)

Saturday, December 14 – “Doc: a novel” by Mary Doria Russell (Biographical Fiction)
