Meet Author Nic Stone! North Georgia Teen Reads

Nic Stone, bestselling author of Dear Martin, will be speaking at The Black Box Theater at Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center on Wednesday, October 10.

The Black Box Theatre will be open from 6:00 – 7:00 pm — come early and enjoy refreshments and a live performance by The Private Pageant!

North Georgia Teen Reads was created to promote collaboration between neighboring library systems and to bring bestselling authors to a community of 46 libraries in the region.

Nic Stone was born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta. After graduating from Spelman College, she worked extensively in teen mentoring. Growing up with a wide range of cultures, religions, and backgrounds, Stone brings diverse voices and stories to her work. Booklist has given her first novel, Dear Martin, a starred review calling it, “vivid and powerful.” The length and pace of Dear Martin make it a perfect read for reluctant and sophisticated readers alike.

This event is free and open to the public. Books and audio will be available for purchase and signing.
