|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:30 pm on Saturday, repeating until Saturday, November 23, 2019

| Free

The East Cobb Library will be partnering with high school students from Walton, Westminster and Wheeler Magnet Program, who will be offering youth tutoring at our library every Saturday afternoon from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm for ages K-8th grade, from August 17 – November 23, 2019. Tutoring sessions are brought to you for free by the Study Masters, because “learning does not end when school does.” These high school student tutors will be tutoring Math, Science and Reading in one-on-one 30 minute tutoring sessions. Children/teens to be tutored should bring questions and study materials with them, and the tutors will incorporate FUN into learning.

Notable Awards: High school students ranked top 10 in State Mathcounts, AMC 8 perfect score, Math Olympia perfect score, PSAT perfect score in Reading, and Science Olympia National medals.

Registration is required, but walk-ins are welcome if a time slot is available. Please note that each child is only allowed to sign up for two sessions from 8/17 through 11/23. For more information or to register, contact the East Cobb Children’s Reference desk at 770-509-2730.
