Finding Your Revolutionary Roots

You are invited to a free genealogy workshop at the East Cobb Library on how to get started with researching your family’s lineage back to the Revolutionary War. The DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) will present this program, which will include the following topics:  Introduction to genealogy, tips and tricks, and tools for organizing your research. The Georgia Room will present information about Cobb County Public Library System genealogy resources. DAR representatives will be available to look up your family name in the online DAR patriot database. Please bring a laptop with you if possible.

A representative from the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) will be available for questions.
